Company Website: dekline.com
Dekline has come along way from it’s debut in the early 2000s. However, it looks like they have done what most other skate shoe companies have done – and that is copy each other. It looks like this year, we’re seeing a lot similarities to Vans.
Shoes for 2014
Mason (washed suede leather)
Here we have some spiffy, boat-owner shoes that are obviously too nice to skate in.
SANTA FE (GREY/ESPRESSO)
Another fancy-schmancy shoe that reminds me of the an iPad wallpaper. These are dressy and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to skate in these.
River (Suede)
Now this is a clean looking shoe. Looks skateable, looks almost good enough to be a dress shoe, but all-around good style.
Daily (Waxed Suede)
Waxed suede? WTF is that? Sounds too nice to skate. It’s so ironic too – the brand’s name is “Dekline” – yet they keep making nice shoes. What gives?
Tim Tim (Suede/Chambray)
Wow. I’m assuming these are Chad Tim Tim’s shoe. I remember when he was thinking of retiring 10 years ago. Keep going Chad!
Bennett (Suede)
I’m giving Dekline a lot of crap this year – but this is the best looking shoe they have so far. Good yob.
CT Slip On (SUEDE/CANVAS/LEATHER)
These are Vans. Everyone copies the slip on. MMM MMM MMM.
CT Slip On (HERRINGBONE)
This looks like a God Damn guitar amplifier! Hipster puke. Burn these shoes.
Tim Tim Mid (SUEDE/CANVAS/FULL GRAIN)
These look like Half Cab knock offs.
Bixby (SUEDE / MICRO PERF)
And this looks like a Supra shoe. Where’s the originality?
EVERETT LOW (Canvas)
This looks exactly like the TK Supras I’m wearing right now. Except the eyelits.
JAWS (MICRO PERF/PIG SUEDE)
So I hear grey is a good neutral color to fit with basically anything. I guess this shoe is a winner then for your sneaker collection.
Wayland (SUEDE/CANVAS)
Here we go again. A skate shoe turn Topsider. How much varnish does your sailboat need?
