Big Boy Foy might not look like it, but he’s got the finesse of a figure skater when he’s on a board.
Starting his path to pro at age 4, Jamie entered a contest in his hometown of Deerfield Breach, Florida. He ended up getting a year’s supply of pizza for being the youngest contestant.
After that first contest, he made a name for himself in Amateur contests before moving to LA in 2016. Not long after that, Foy made his debut on the global stage.
In 2016, Foy debuted in a video for Deathwish, his new sponsor, before taking on Thrasher’s “King of the Road”. Foy pulled off a massive 50-50 for the Muska challenge, and turned pro for Deathwish by the end of the show.
Only a few months later in 2017, Foy won Thrasher’s “Skater of the Year” award. That’s right, in little over a year, Big Boy Foy went from amateur to pro to Skater of the Year.
In 2021 Foy won second place in the 2021 X Games in the Street event. He also won best trick at the same event.
Foy is sponsored by Deathwish, Red Bull, Spitfire, CCS, New Balance Numeric, Dickies, Bronson, Island Water Sports, Thunder, and Shake Junt.
